Places of Christmas anticipation

From 14 November 2025, Villach’s city centre will once again be transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland that brings joy to the eyes of young and old alike. The air is filled with the scent of roasted chestnuts, Christmas pastries and warm punch. The ice rink in front of the town hall becomes a stage for little ice queens and kings, the festive huts invite you to stroll and browse, and in front of the lantern-lit stages, visitors gather to enjoy concerts by choirs and ensembles.

With a view of the festively illuminated Nikolaikirche, the Art Advent on Nikolaiplatz is a very special experience.
Unique, handmade works of art invite you to marvel, browse and linger.
Warming fire bowls, lovingly designed nativity scenes and atmospheric lighting transform the square into a place full of magical moments - right in the heart of the Advent season.
